ACHWIL MALWAL

Youth & Member Organizer

Achwil Malwal grew up in New Hampshire and earned her bachelor’s degree in Economics from Providence College. Since graduating, she has worked in electoral politics and grassroots organizing in New Hampshire, where she focused on accountability work in swing districts. A big part of her role was helping community members understand their elected representatives’ voting records and connecting that information to the issues that mattered most to them. That experience really solidified her interest in organizing, building community power, and helping people feel more connected to the political process.

She wanted to work at YPP because she was drawn to its focus on young people taking an active role in shaping their communities and building power from the ground up. She excited to bring her organizing experience to YPP while continuing to learn from other young people who are passionate about making change in their communities.

Achwil is currently pursuing my master’s in Public Management at Johns Hopkins University. Outside of work and school, Achwil loves watching films, baking and cooking for other people, traveling, and going to concerts!
