Michael Rubin

Treasurer

Michael Rubin is a dedicated supporter of YPP and a longtime advocate for racial and economic justice in Montgomery County. A seasoned nonprofit bookkeeper, Michael runs a financial co-op that provides bookkeeping support to progressive organizations. He brings decades of experience serving on nonprofit boards and is the former Managing Director of IMPACT Silver Spring. Michael holds an MBA with a focus in Nonprofit Management from the Heller School at Brandeis University.

He has consistently supported YPP’s campaigns, including testifying for the STEP Act in 2023 and the Freedom to Leave Act in 2024. He now serves as board treasurer, where he is committed to strengthening YPP’s financial systems and long-term sustainability. As part of his role, Michael leads finance trainings and provides mentorship for both YPP’s board and general membership.
