Biography
Dorien Rogers
Organizer
Dorien Rogers (he/his) and is from Clarksburg, Maryland. After graduating from Clarksburg HighSchool, Dorien attended Salisbury University. With a double major of Political Science + International Studies alongside a History minor, Dorien was involved in numerous organizations. This includes-but is not limited to the Salisbury University Student Government Association, the Black Student Union, Sociology Front, ChangeSU Coalition, Omicron Delta Kappa (ODK), a Resident Assistant, Orientation Leader, and the NAACP. Through these channels, Dorien worked to ensure Salisbury University was actively yet consciously implementing more equitable, accessible, and inclusive policies for our intersectional communities. This includes but is not limited to general education reform, increased funding for multicultural offices, expanded parking passes for people with disabilities, increased staffing of the counseling center, etc. After graduating, Dorien worked to re-establish the NAACP Maryland State Conference Youth/College Division and was elected State President. Dorien alongside his team advocated for student debt relief, gun regulation, environmental justice, and more. Dorien is a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Incorporated.
