Biography
AMYRA HASAN
CAMPAIGN ORGANIZER
Amyra was born and raised in Silver Spring. She graduated from Montgomery Blair High School in 2015. Later, she earned an A.A. from Montgomery College and a B.A. in Government and Politics from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2019. Amyra served as Secretary and Board Member at YPP from 2021-2023. Prior to her current position at YPP, she worked at a federal advocacy firm for three years and at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum for four years. She is passionate about education policy, dedicated to elevating the voices of students and other young people of color, and excited about building a more equal and just community. In her free time, she likes to go to museums, watch movies in theaters, and check out new cafes.
